I love books! They can make you happy or sad, they can ignite your creativity, and they can teach you something about the world or yourself. I attribute my love of books to my mother reading to me at an early age. My favorites back then were Frog and Toad or Peter Rabbit. The books were fun, funny, and always had a positive message. When I think about the simple times of just being a kid this is one of those fond memories that makes my heart happy.
I aspire to bring those same feelings and emotions into my own writing. Although I don’t write children’s books, there is always room for those little positive messages…and let’s face it we could all use a laugh now and then. No it’s not good for the “laugh lines”, but it’s good for your health and mood.
My favorite thing about books is how they can open your eyes to new places, cultures, or experiences. I love to get lost in someone else's world; see what they see and feel how they feel. To experience life through another person's eyes is fascinating to me.
Whether you read to escape reality or learn something new I applaud you. Finding time in our hectic lives for a few minutes of quiet reading is such a needed pleasure. Below are a few books in my Kindle library if you’re looking for a good new book.
